Pricing & how it works

No lock-in. Free to browse. Pay only when something books.

We make money on a single platform fee per completed booking — no setup fees, no minimums, no markups buried in inventory prices. Both sides see exactly the same line items before anything is signed.

Two booking flows

Owners pick what fits each listing

Standard inventory ships as instant-book by default. Owners flip premium / custom placements into approval mode per listing.

Instant book

Card charged at confirm

  • Buyer picks dates, message, optional creative.
  • Card is captured immediately on confirm.
  • Owner gets a confirmed booking + a 24-hour conflict-flag escape hatch.
  • If owner flags a conflict, full refund + dates open up automatically.

When to use: Standard placements with predictable inventory.

Approval required

Card authorized, charged on approve

  • Buyer picks dates + agrees to terms; Stripe authorizes (holds) the card.
  • Owner has 72 hours to approve, decline, or message back.
  • Approve → hold converts to charge. Decline / expire → hold released.
  • Same auto-generated docs and chat thread as instant-book.

When to use: Premium, custom, or one-of-a-kind inventory.

How money moves

Confirmed → live → paid out

We hold the platform float so we can refund cleanly if a campaign falls apart. Owners get paid in two halves on a schedule that absorbs disputes without delaying their first payout.

  1. 01

    Booking confirms

Card charged (instant book) or held + captured on owner approval. Total = inventory rate + 10% platform fee.

  2. 02

    Campaign start date

Adly releases the first 50% of the owner payout via Stripe Connect — net of the 5% take rate.

  3. 03

    Campaign end + 7 days

Final 50% releases. The 7-day buffer covers post-campaign disputes, creative-quality issues, or refunds.

  4. 04

    Cancellations claw back

If a refund is issued after a payout already moved, Stripe reverses the transfer automatically.

Cancellation policy

Same tiers across every listing

100%

More than 14 days out

50%

7–14 days out

0%

Less than 7 days out

Owner-initiated cancellations always refund 100% and no payout is released. Within 24 hours of a confirmed instant booking, owners can flag a conflict and trigger an automatic full refund.

Refunds are issued back to the original card. If a payout already released to the owner, Stripe Connect reverses the transfer in the background — no manual reconciliation needed on your end.

How the math works

An example

An advertiser books a $4,000/week placement for 4 weeks. Here's exactly how the money flows:

Inventory rate$16,000
Adly platform fee (10%)$1,600
Total advertiser pays$17,600
Media owner gross$16,000
Adly take rate (5%)−$800
Media owner net payout$15,200
First half (released on campaign start)$7,600
Final half (released end + 7 days)$7,600

Both fees are itemized on the booking confirmation, the auto-generated Insertion Order, and the downloadable invoice. Inventory rates are set entirely by the media owner — Adly never marks them up.

Documents both sides get

Auto-generated, always current

Insertion Order (IO)

The agreed terms of the booking — parties, placement, dates, pricing, creative spec summary, cancellation policy, and the timestamp the buyer accepted them. Re-download anytime; both parties see the same doc.

Invoice / receipt

The financial record — line items, total, payment method (Visa •••• 4242), refunded amount if applicable, and a status pill (PAID / REFUNDED / CANCELLED). Re-download after any refund for an updated copy.

No lock-in

Browse, list, and de-list at any time. We only earn when a booking actually completes.

Cards stay with Stripe

Adly never sees or stores the full card number. PCI scope sits with Stripe, not us.

No price markups

The inventory rate you see is exactly what the media owner is charging. The Adly fee is its own line item.

Common questions

Do owners need a Stripe account before they can list?

No — listing is open immediately. Bookings can't complete on a listing whose owner hasn't finished Stripe Connect onboarding (we need a destination for the payout), but the inventory side of the workflow doesn't gate on it.

When exactly do owners get paid?

Two halves. The first 50% releases on the campaign start date; the final 50% seven days after the campaign ends. The 7-day buffer covers any post-campaign disputes or quality issues. You can see the schedule and status on each booking and a year-to-date earnings card on /dashboard/payouts.

What happens to a payout if a booking is cancelled after release?

Stripe Connect reverses the transfer automatically when the refund is issued — the funds claw back from the owner's Connect account. No manual reconciliation needed.

What's the difference between instant book and approval-required?

Instant book confirms and charges immediately; the owner gets a 24-hour conflict-flag window. Approval-required holds the card via a Stripe authorization for up to 72 hours while the owner reviews — the hold converts to a real charge on approve, or releases on decline / expiry. Owners pick per listing.

What about taxes and 1099s?

Stripe Connect handles 1099-K generation for US owners and emails them directly. The Payouts dashboard has a one-click link into the owner's Stripe Express dashboard where tax documents and bank-transfer history live.

Are there any setup or monthly fees?

No. Browsing, listing, saving cards, and managing inventory are all free. We charge only when a booking actually completes.
